About The Position
The Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a part-time Research Assistant to support a clinical study focused on client communication within the Orthopedic Surgery Service. The ideal candidate is flexible, organized, has prior research experience, and is interested in veterinary medicine.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent.
- Previous experience supporting research projects, including data collection and data management.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

- Interested in veterinary medicine.
Responsibilities
- Recruit eligible study participants during clinical appointments in collaboration with clinicians and residents.
- Introduce clients to the research study, explain study procedures, and assist with obtaining participation.
- Collect, organize, and maintain confidential research data in accordance with study protocols.
- Conduct follow-up phone calls with study participants and document responses accurately.
- Coordinate closely with the principal investigator, orthopedic clinicians, and surgical residents to support successful study execution.
- Assist with data management and ensure research records remain accurate, organized, and up to date.
