This position involves investigating the role of exosome biology and epigenetic regulation in postoperative pain using an integrated approach combining molecular and in vivo techniques. The studies pursued are aimed at advancing both basic research and novel therapeutic strategies to better understand and treat pain. The successful candidate will perform experiments proposed in an NIH grant, generate and test mouse models of pain, isolate and characterize small extracellular vesicles, and determine gene and protein expression. They will also analyze data, write manuscripts for publication, analyze mouse behavior testing data, and generate figures for publication in scientific journals. This position is grant-funded, and employment is contingent upon the continued availability of those funds.
