About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking an energetic, experienced, hands-on maintenance team member. The role supports hotel operations by maintaining grounds, public areas, guest rooms, and equipment, performing preventative maintenance, responding to work orders, and completing daily inspections. Duties also include painting and maintaining HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical components, and general carpentry.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general carpentry.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to exceed the expectations of guests and team members.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods, bend, stretch, push, pull, move as needed, visually inspect machines, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Hotel maintenance experience; the posting states a minimum of three (2) years is preferred.
• One year of college or trade school equivalent in mechanical, electrical, and/or technical disciplines; preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Oversee property grounds, public areas, and hotel guest rooms.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to help prevent breakdowns in hotel accommodations.
• Paint, replace electrical accessories, and maintain HVAC systems.
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation.
• Maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs.
• Respond to maintenance orders in a timely manner.
• Fulfill work orders in a timely manner.
• Complete daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
