About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking an energetic, experienced, hands-on Painter/Maintenance associate. The role maintains hotel grounds, public areas, and guest rooms, performs preventive maintenance, and responds to maintenance requests and work orders. Duties include painting; replacing electrical accessories; maintaining HVAC systems; and checking fixtures, lighting, and signs. The position also involves daily rounds to identify and report problems and other duties as assigned. Requirements

At least two years of experience in a hotel maintenance position is preferred.
In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, and general carpentry.
Basic math skills.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to exceed the expectations of guests and team members.
Excellent time-management skills.
Able to stand and walk for prolonged periods; bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery; visually inspect machines; and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

One year of college or trade school equivalent in mechanical, electrical, and/or technical disciplines is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Oversee property grounds, public areas, and hotel guest rooms.
Conduct preventive maintenance to help prevent breakdowns in hotel accommodations.
Paint, replace electrical accessories, and maintain HVAC systems.
Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation and maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs.
Respond to maintenance orders in a timely manner.
Fulfill work orders in a timely manner.
Complete daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems.
Perform other duties as assigned.
