A Packaging Assembler plays a pivotal role in the manufacturing process by assembling, labeling, and preparing products for shipment in a safe, efficient, and quality-conscious manner. This position is not only responsible for maintaining the highest quality packaging standards but also for being on the front line of ensuring a positive customer experience. The Packaging Assembler plays a critical role in the company's commitment to delivering products that exceed customer expectations.

Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to frequently lift, move, carry and manipulate loads up to 35lb.
  • Ability to infrequently lift, move, carry and manipulate loads up to 70lb.
  • Must be willing and able to rotate through a variety of manufacturing processes, performing all types of tasks in a team environment.
  • Ability to operate production line machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, label, and package woodworking tools and fasteners for shipment or next process.
  • Ensure that packaging materials meet quality standards and are free from defects.
  • Properly package products according to specified instructions and packaging guidelines.
  • Inspect packaged products for quality and compliance with company standards.
  • Report any issues or discrepancies to supervisors for resolution.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, including the safe operation of packaging equipment.
  • Work efficiently to meet production quotas and deadlines.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and suggest solutions.
  • Maintain effective communication with supervisors, quality control, and other team members regarding packaging issues or concerns.
  • Operate power and hand tools to assemble small parts into finished product.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to operating in a safe work environment.
  • Verifies material content and count, paperwork and barcode accuracy.
  • Maintain a workspace that is clean and well stocked.
  • Other projects as needed.

  • Flexible schedules, 40 hours/week between 6:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday– Thursday.
