About The Position

This Assembler position is for Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division at their Reno, NV facility. The role involves performing simple, repetitive bench assembly of parts and components using various fastening devices. The assembler will work under close supervision, potentially from models, samples, or simple diagrams. Key duties also include efficient and accurate order picking, packing, and pulling, as well as troubleshooting problems and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The position requires active support for facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives, including maintaining 5-S standards, tracking visual management tools like layered audits and OEE boards, and participating in Kaizen improvements.

Requirements

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
  • Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Reno, NV will be considered (Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation).

  • Fine manipulation of hands with repetitive motion.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.

Responsibilities

  • Perform simple repetitive bench assembly of parts and components.
  • Use bolts, screws, clips, and other fastening devices.
  • Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams.
  • Pick, pack, and pull orders in an efficient and accurate manner.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise.
  • Maintain work areas clean and safe.
  • Support all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to: Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas.
  • Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor.
  • Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.
  • Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.
