About The Position
Assist in the identification, recruitment, and selection of eligible EOC participants.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Student Affairs, Education, Social Science, or related field
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- excellent organizational skills
- proficiency with common computer applications, including Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Excel
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree preferred
- experience in educational opportunity programs
- an understanding of intrusive advising
- a willingness to assist at-risk adult students
- experience working with minority, low-income, first-generation, and students with disabilities
Responsibilities
- Provide academic coaching and career coaching to EOC program participants
- Present financial literacy workshops and provide support through the financial aid process
- Assist with activities and the implementation of workshops
- Coordinate outreach with campus and community partners
- Act as a liaison between program participants and education partners, as needed
- Provide guidance in post-secondary school entry and entry into a GED program
- Maintain proper documentation of program participants
- Assist program participants with the necessary paperwork to pursue educational goals
