Temporary Dental Assistant/Registered Dental Assistant (Full-Time or Part-Time)

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- CPR Certification
- 8-Hour Infection Control Certificate (for Dental Assistant role)
- Willing and able to travel to other MCHC sites for trainings, meetings, and/or to cover shifts as needed.
- California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) License (for Registered Dental Assistant role)
- California X-ray License (for Registered Dental Assistant role)
- Coronal Polish Certificate (for Registered Dental Assistant role)
- Sealant Certificate (for Registered Dental Assistant role)
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in a dental office with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (fluent)
- California X-ray License (preferred for Dental Assistant role)
Responsibilities
- Provide chairside and clinical support during exams and procedures
- Take impressions for models and denture appliances
- Place and remove rubber dams or other isolation devices
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during appointments; communicate observations to the dentist
- Assist in discussing treatment plans with patients and act as a liaison between provider and patient
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and care
- Prepare and disinfect treatment rooms in compliance with infection control standards
