About The Position

The Temporary Community Service Officer provides support to the university’s physical security programs and initiatives. The Temporary Community Service Officer reports to the Physical Security Director and assists with security technology assessments, equipment testing, mapping, documentation, and implementation activities across campus facilities.

Requirements

  • May be subject to a Level 1 or Level 2 criminal background check.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with security camera placement evaluations and installation coordination
  • Blue light emergency phone testing and mapping
  • Panic switch testing and documentation
  • KeyTrak system mapping
  • Classroom lockdown mapping and verification
  • Other physical security program support functions
  • Supporting field data collection, inspections, reporting, and general security program evaluation activities designed to enhance campus safety and operational readiness.
