About The Position

The City of Fresno is hiring for temporary clerical positions and invites you to be part of a dynamic team in providing excellent customer service and critical support to our departments. The City of Fresno is continuously seeking energetic hard-working individuals to assist and enhance the various functions and services our City provides. Work schedules vary according to department operations and needs. Pursuant to City of Fresno Charter, temporary employment shall not exceed 2,080 hours within 2 fiscal years; and may not exceed 29 working hours per week or if working up to 40 hours per week may not exceed 120 days. The City may also utilize this recruitment to fill limited, non-permanent assignments consistent with Fresno Municipal Code Section 3-256 (a) (2). These are temporary employment opportunities which do not provide health benefits, or retirement and are not in any way a guarantee of permanent employment.

Requirements

  • Possession of a valid California Driver's License may be required at time of appointment for some assignments.
  • Candidates considered for hire must provide proof of a valid driver's license and current copy of their driving record.
  • Required licenses, certifications, and education must be verified with with supporting documents.
  • Foreign education must be evaluated by a credential evaluation service recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
