About The Position

Burris Laboratory School is seeking part-time, temporary athletic coaches to support and mentor students on various teams. Hours will include evenings and some weekends. Compensation is determined by specific role and responsibilities and normal range is $500.00-$6000.00 for the season. Candidates for this position must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of applicable sport
• Must be able to effectively communicate to students, parents, officials, school administration
• Current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training programs
• Help students establish personal and team goals
• Plan game strategies, select players
• Ensure a safe environment for athletes, adhere to all school and safety standards, complete required safety training and implement necessary
• Promote sportsmanship among athletes
• Record keeping and reporting to school administrators and athletic director
