About The Position

Cardinal CT in Mount Airy has a full time production & manufacturing opening for a Glass Tempering Technician. This role involves various production and manufacturing tasks related to glass tempering.

Requirements

Ability to manually lift up to 50LBS.
Ability to mark or tag identification on glass products.
Ability to inspect glass for visual / and or material defects as well as quality specification tolerances.
Ability to observe equipment operations, make minor tool adjustments, or notify operators, leads, or maintenance of any malfunctions.
Ability to operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators.
Ability to record product information using measuring tapes, record sheets, spreadsheets, & quality software.
Ability to understand product & machine workflows to properly load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
Ability to follow 5S procedures to maintain an orderly, safe, and clean work environment.
Ability to count finished products to determine if product orders are complete.
Ability to cross train into a minimum of three areas of production.
Ability to communicate pertinent information to co-workers, supervisors, & management.
Ability to complete all other tasks as required.
Respect for each co-worker.
Regular Attendance as outlined in attendance policy.
Ability to work in a team environment and use good judgment.
