About The Position

Cardinal CT in Mount Airy has a full time production & manufacturing opening for a Glass Tempering Technician. This role involves various production and manufacturing tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to manually lift up to 50LBS.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to mark or tag identification on glass products.
  • Ability to inspect glass for visual / and or material defects as well as quality specification tolerances.
  • Ability to observe equipment operations and make minor tool adjustments, or notify operators, leads, or maintenance of any malfunctions.
  • Ability to operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators.
  • Ability to record product information using measuring tapes, record sheets, spreadsheets, & quality software.
  • Ability to understand product & machine workflows to properly load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
  • Ability to follow 5S procedures to maintain an orderly, safe, and clean work environment.
  • Ability to count finished products to determine if product orders are complete.
  • Ability to cross train into a minimum of three areas of production.
  • Ability to communicate pertinent information to co-workers, supervisors, & management.
  • Ability to complete all other tasks as required.
  • Respect for each co-worker.
  • Regular Attendance as outlined in attendance policy.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and use good judgment.
  • Pass a Drug Screen, Hearing, Physical & Performance Evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • Mark or tag identification on glass products.
