About The Position

We are a full-service HVAC, building automation, chiller, and retrofit contractor with a reputation for combining high-quality consulting services with customized energy solutions. Our integrated, single-source solutions include turnkey in-house capabilities with design assistance, as well as engineering applications and automated control systems. The UX Assistant will support our Service Department operations by streamlining processes with application development, process automation, user support, and graphic design. A qualified candidate must have a strong desire to work in a fast-paced environment, work collaboratively on multiple projects, learn with initiative, and have effective communication skills.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years design experience (educational or professional preferred, freelance considered).
  • University Extension Certification, Associates, or bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or UX/UI Design
  • Microsoft Office Experience (Excel, Word, Outlook, Suite Package)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Detail oriented, accurately follows instruction, and great note taker.
  • Self-motivated with an ability to adapt quickly and navigate new software.
  • Creative problem-solving to proactively address issues with logic and efficiency.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • A familiarity with coding hierarchy and logic including HTML or Java Script.

Nice To Haves

  • Work experience in a corporate office atmosphere (preferred)
  • Two (2) years of experience in Graphic Design using Adobe Creative Suite (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Meet weekly with team members to manage project delegation, timelines, and production.
  • Develop solutions with MS 365 Applications: PowerApps, Power Automate, and SharePoint.
  • Support end users and seek feedback when troubleshooting or providing training.
  • Assist with data entry to prepare or clean up before implementing a custom UX solution.
  • Help drive an engaging, cohesive experience across all company platforms and devices.
  • Become immersed in Service Operations to comprehend processes, optimize workflows, and adapt to support role in a corporate HVAC atmosphere.
  • Undergo tailored training alongside the UX Designer on active projects in and outside of the Service Department operations
