About The Position
This position is responsible for various tasks related to the receiving and shipping of freight, ensuring accuracy and quality. Key duties include assigning drivers to dock doors, verifying freight against documentation, identifying and noting discrepancies or damages, palletizing and labeling freight, and loading trailers. The role also involves scanning packing slips, communicating with spotters via radio for trailer movements, maintaining good housekeeping, segregating freight by facility, and ensuring no non-conformant freight is shipped. Other duties may be assigned.

- Forklift experience
Responsibilities
- Assign drivers to dock doors where they will be off-loaded
- Reads and compares freight bills/ cargo manifests with physical freight being received
- Notes all damaged, shorted material and /or overages of material being received off freight documents.
- Palletizes freight.
- Scans Packing slips.
- Communicates with spotter using radio for all trailer movements
- Maintains good housekeeping.
- Segregates freight according to facility.
- Labels pallets according to facility locations.
- Loads trailers with freight accordingly.
- Ensures that no non-conformant freight is shipped at any time.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
