About The Position

The Temp Merch/Stockroom Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience, engaging with customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. Responsibilities include customer service, transaction processing, merchandising, preparing merchandise for the sales floor, store recovery, cleanliness, safety, and shrink-reduction activities. The position is at Marshalls Store 0452, 11730 Carmel Mountain Rd, San Diego, California. The starting pay range is $17.75 to $18.25 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Role-model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and help maintain and clean the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
