About The Position
We are looking for a reliable person to join our cemetery grounds maintenance team in Davenport. You will perform daily landscaping tasks and keep the grounds looking clean and respectful for visiting families. In this role, you will help prepare burial sites, set headstones, and maintain the property grounds. This position offers a steady schedule, skill development, and strong growth opportunities into leadership roles.
Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and carry heavy equipment all day
- Ability to read maps and operate basic landscaping equipment
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and ask questions when needed

Responsibilities
- Perform extensive string trimming around headstones, monuments, and fences.
- Operate riding mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, and gators.
- Operate power equipment including snow blowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws.
- Assist with preparing burial sites and installing headstones.
- Rake, mulch, and compost leaves.
- Gather and remove litter, brush, and yard debris.
- Read and follow cemetery maps to find specific plots and work areas.
- Follow all safety rules while working independently or with a crew.
