Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 1-6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• A passion for people, innovation, and growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal service by greeting and assisting members with financial transactions on all types of accounts.
• Receive and pay out money and keep records of money and negotiable instruments involved in financial transactions.
• Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amount, and examine checks for endorsement.
• Cash checks and pay out money after verification of signatures and member balances.
• Enter members' transactions into computer to record transactions, and issue computer generated receipts.
• Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds.
• Order daily supply of cash and count incoming cash.
• Balance currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift and compare totaled amounts with data displayed on computer screen.
• Explain, promote, or sell credit union products or services.
• Remove deposits from, and count and balance cash in, automated teller machines and night depository.
• Accept loan payments.
• Develop an understanding of Credit Union philosophy, organization, bylaws, and operational procedures and comply with the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act, AML, OFAC and all other applicable State and Federal Financial Institution Regulations.
