About The Position

The Teller position involves providing friendly and efficient customer service in person and over the telephone. Responsibilities include processing various banking transactions, maintaining a cash drawer, balancing currency, coin, and checks, and promoting bank products and services. The role also requires assisting with branch operations, maintaining knowledge of procedures and compliance, and performing additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must have cash handling experience.
Efficient knowledge of standard office equipment operation, including a Personal Computer (PC) with email, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Demonstrate consistent positive interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with colleagues and customers
Demonstrate discretion, confidentiality and privacy when interacting with colleagues and customers
Achieve and maintain proficiency with position related processes and technology
Strong organization skills
Attention to detail

Knowledge of US currency denominations

Responsibilities

Provide friendly and efficient customer service in person and/or over the telephone.
Process banking transactions including, but not limited to, deposits, withdrawals, check item redemption, account holds, loan payments, and safe deposit rental payments.
Maintain assigned cash drawer within established balance limits.
Balance currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer daily and prepare personal proof sheet. May be responsible for preparation of branch proof, on occasion.
Actively educate and promote awareness of Bank products and services to potential and existing customers in an effort to establish and/or expand the customers’ relationship with the Bank.
Assist customers and Management with use and maintenance of coin counting machine.
Assist in the procedures necessary to close the branch facility daily.
Responsible for assuring daily upkeep of ATM and corresponding outdoor area, when necessary.
Responsible for establishing accounts for new and existing customers, when necessary.
Maintain current knowledge of all position related procedures and compliance.
Comply with all Bank issued policies, including, but not limited to, the Information Security/Cybersecurity Policy, Acceptable Use Policy and Internet Access and E-Mail Use Policy, and any other Information Security and/or Cybersecurity communications/directives received from Management.
Proficiently read, write and speak the English language.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management necessary to maintain an efficiently run office, including cross-training in other Department or Bank functions.
Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
May travel to Bank or other locations for job related functions.
