About The Position

In this role, you'll serve as the face of the bank, providing exceptional customer service while accurately processing financial transactions and helping customers with their banking needs. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3 to 12 months of cash handling and customer service experience required
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Solid math and analytical abilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic to intermediate computer proficiency, including Microsoft Windows
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to operate office and banking equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of coin when necessary
  • Friendly, professional, and dependable
  • Comfortable handling cash and financial transactions
  • Able to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
  • Committed to accuracy, compliance, and exceptional customer service
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework in business, accounting, or a related field preferred
  • Banking or financial institution experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Process customer deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments
  • Cash checks in accordance with bank policies and procedures
  • Sell cashier's checks, money orders, certified checks, and other bank products
  • Process night deposits and mail deposits
  • Accurately balance and maintain your cash drawer daily
  • Prepare daily transaction settlements and required reports
  • Scan and process daily work items
  • Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding service
  • Identify customer needs and refer banking products and services when appropriate
  • Maintain teller supplies and assist with inventory control
  • Collaborate with coworkers to ensure efficient branch operations
  • Adhere to all banking regulations, security procedures, and compliance requirements, including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) standards
  • Assist customers with safe deposit box services
  • Support new account activities and other branch operations
  • Balance and service ATM machines
  • Verify and wrap coin for vault cash control
