About The Position

This is a part-time Teller position located within the VG's Bank of Ann Arbor branch, situated inside the VG's store. The role involves providing accurate and efficient transaction services to customers, controlling and balancing financial instruments, and assisting with overall branch services. The schedule may vary weekly, requiring availability a few days per week, including two weekends per month (Saturday and Sunday), and the ability to work until 7:15 pm closing two times per week. A flexible schedule is essential.

Requirements

• Cash handling experience and/or customer service experience.
• Proficient computer skills, including the ability to use a keyboard, ten-key pad, and basic capability to access information contained within bank-wide systems.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact with a variety of bank clients.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• One year of previous experience as a teller is preferred.
• A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and efficient transaction services to customers.
• Control and balance all financial instruments processed.
• Assist in overall branch services.
• Welcome customers to the bank in a warm, friendly manner.
• Handle transactions efficiently and accurately, including accepting account deposits and withdrawals and verifying cash and endorsements of checks.
• Accept loan payments, issue money orders, cashier checks, and foreign currency.
• Process all transactions within authorized limits, including check-cashing limits, and obtain supervisor approval on all required transactions.
• Utilize product knowledge to better help new and existing customers with their banking needs.
• Perform other duties as required by the position.
