About The Position
This position is responsible for processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently, promoting bank products and services, and opening new accounts. The role involves direct customer interaction and requires attention to detail in handling cash and maintaining account records.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Cash handling experience.
- Basic computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amounts, and examine checks for endorsements.
- Cash checks and pay out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
- Enter customer transactions into the computer to record transactions and issue computer-generated receipts.
- Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds.
- Order daily supply of cash, and count incoming cash, including handling large bags of coins.
- Balance currency, coin, and checks in the cash drawer at the end of the shift, comparing totaled amounts with data displayed on the computer screen.
- Promote and cross-sell other establishment products and services such as internet banking, cashier’s checks, trust and investment services.
- Open new accounts.
- Load new accounts and perform account maintenance in the Computer System.
- Remove deposits from, and count and balance cash in, automated teller machines and night depositories.
