About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Teller to join its National Branch Network. In this front-line, customer-focused role, the Teller supports customers’ everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions, accurately completing transactions and providing a welcoming, reliable experience. As a primary customer contact, the Teller represents the branch through attentive service and care, builds foundational banking skills, learns about customers’ needs, and introduces helpful products, services, and digital tools. The Teller identifies opportunities to support customers and connects them with bankers for detailed product conversations. The role works closely with branch teammates to support daily operations and consistent customer experiences, with training and coaching that support career growth and mobility. The position is based at 3300 Pump Rd., Richmond, Virginia 23233. The schedule includes Saturdays. The position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship. The posted base pay range is $20.00–$25.00; pay may vary based on factors such as performance, skills, experience, and work location, and employees may be eligible for incentive opportunities.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent experience demonstrated through work, training, military experience, or education.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.

Responsibilities

Accurately process routine service transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing.
Welcome customers, understand their needs, and guide them to efficient banking options, including digital tools, self-service options, or the appropriate team member.
Build relationships and listen actively to understand customers’ everyday financial needs; connect them to relevant information, services, digital tools, or bankers.
Identify potential product or service needs, introduce solutions at a high level, and refer customers to a banker for detailed guidance.
Complete transactional and operational activities accurately, exercise sound judgment, and manage risk in accordance with policies and controls.
Use clear communication and active listening to clarify needs and provide straightforward solutions or next steps.
Collaborate with branch teammates, follow leadership direction, and escalate complex situations as needed.
Resolve routine customer questions or concerns and escalate more complex issues to support timely resolution.
Follow applicable risk and compliance programs, policies, and procedures; identify and escalate issues and make sound risk decisions.
