About The Position
This role involves performing various teller duties, including processing deposits and withdrawals, cashing checks, managing cash drawers, and opening new accounts. The position also requires promoting and cross-selling other financial products and services. Additionally, the teller will be responsible for maintaining automated teller machines and night depositories.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Cash handling experience.
- Basic computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amounts, and examine checks for endorsements.
- Cash checks and pay out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
- Enter customers' transactions into computer to record transactions and issue computer-generated receipts.
- Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds.
- Order daily supply of cash, and count incoming cash, including handling large bags of coins.
- Balance currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift, comparing totaled amounts with data displayed on computer screen.
- Promote and cross-sell other establishment products and services such as internet banking, cashier’s checks, trust and investment services.
- Open new accounts.
- Load new accounts and account maintenance in Computer System.
- Remove deposits from, and count and balance cash in, automated teller machines and night depository.
