Full-Time Teller - South Austin
About The Position
As a Teller at United Heritage Credit Union (UHCU), you will provide exemplary customer service to members by accurately and efficiently processing everyday banking transactions. You will interact with members frequently, initiating conversations and identifying opportunities to meet their financial needs. The role emphasizes a complete member experience, ensuring precision and accuracy in all transactions, and a commitment to members' financial well-being. Tellers are crucial to UHCU's success, and the ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and efficiency.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 6 months of cash handling and customer service experience within the last 12 months.
- Previous experience in a service-oriented position where the primary focus was external customer service.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule as hours/schedule are subject to change based on the needs of the business.
- Excellent listening ability and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work hard, find solutions and have fun.
- Passion for providing outstanding service to members.
- Ability to collaborate with team members.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality of work.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous Teller experience is a plus.
- Previous experience cross-selling products and/or services.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Promote and maintain positive relationships with members and teammates.
- Promote, cross-sell, and refer credit union products and services to fulfill members' financial needs.
- Participate and volunteer in community events and initiatives.
- Process everyday banking transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payments.
- Ensure transactions are conducted with precision and without error.
- Provide exemplary customer service.
