Receives and pays out money, and keeps records of money and negotiable instruments involved in financial transactions by performing the following duties. Greets customers upon entering building. Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount and examines checks for endorsements. Cashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances. Enters customers transactions into computer to record transactions and issues computer generated receipts. Places holds on accounts. Processes savings withdrawals. Makes transfers from one account to another for customers. Orders daily supply of cash and counts incoming cash. Processes change orders. Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift and compares totaled amounts with data displayed on computer screen. Explains, promotes, or sells products or services such as money orders and cashiers check. Redeems savings bonds. Removes deposits from and counts and balances cash in for automated teller machines and night depository and mail. Accepts loan payments. Processes cash advances. Processes check orders. Balances branch vault daily. Assists customers in resolving problems with their account. Fills out customer change of address forms per customers request. Answers Teller phone calls. Keeps supplies filled. Keeps work areas neat and confidentially safe. Accompanies customers to safety deposit boxes. May order debit cards. Verifies cash received from Federal Reserve Bank or other branches. Runs all branch work through the Courtesy Amount Recognition proofing system, balances and transmits to Main Bank daily. Open new accounts and safe deposit boxes; send to bookkeeping for set up. CTR Reports and Kite Reports Open new accounts, safe deposit boxes Light cleaning of bank area daily and some weekly.
