About The Position

Performs a wide range of transactional duties services while providing members with a high degree of customer service and accuracy. Responds to member requests and provides information by phone, email or in person. This role makes an impact by greeting and welcoming members to the credit union in a courteous, professional and timely manner. Provides prompt, accurate and efficient service in the processing of transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments and cash advances. Processes bulk coin, accesses safety deposit boxes and sells products, such as money orders, vehicle registration stickers, gift cards and postage stamps. Maintains an accurate balance of cash and checks. Reconciles and negotiates foreign currency transactions. Develops and maintains knowledge of a full range of credit union products and services in order to answer member questions and identify cross-sell opportunities. Accesses, balances and reports ATM figures and processes incoming mail as needed. May be cross trained to assist in other areas of the credit union such as new accounts and lending.

Requirements

  • This is an entry level support role, which does not require previous experience.
  • This job operates in a credit union environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, calculators, scanners and copy machines.
  • Ability to work full days at a 45” counter.
  • Ability to manage large amounts of coin (up to approximately 50 pounds).
