The Teller position at Seacoast Bank is responsible for relationship building and efficient operations. This role involves preparing for customer interactions, building rapport, understanding customer financial goals, and matching them with appropriate bank products and services. Tellers are expected to explain products, create and enhance relationships, ask for referrals, and exhibit strong listening and communication skills. They must respond promptly to customer needs, seek assistance for complex matters, and balance business needs with customer requests while managing risk. Embracing new technology, staying updated on industry changes, and participating in community events are also key aspects of the role. Tellers will develop an understanding of consumer deposit and lending products, outbound calling processes, and identifying referral opportunities. They will also gain proficiency in customer-facing technology and enrolling customers in self-service options. Operationally, Tellers process checks, cash, and negotiable instruments according to bank policies, ensuring adherence to AML/BSA requirements, audit procedures, and operational protocols. They assist in remediating deficiencies, resolve customer concerns professionally, and balance their cash drawer daily. Following management direction, solving problems, and adhering to the Code of Conduct and safety procedures are essential. Vault responsibilities may also be assigned.
