About The Position
Security Financial Bank (SFB) is seeking a Full-Time Teller to join our Bloomer branch team. This role is ideal for someone looking for a career where they will build relationships, develop new skills, and make a difference in their community every day. As a Teller, you will often be the first person customers see when they visit the bank. Whether helping someone cash their paycheck, opening the door for a new relationship, or answering questions with a smile, you will play an important role in creating a positive banking experience. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday with an occasional rotating Saturday morning. SFB is an independent community bank with eight branch locations and more than 140 employees, built on trust, relationships, and community involvement.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior customer service and cash-handling experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to balance transactions accurately
- A friendly, professional attitude and willingness to learn
- Proficiency with computer and comfort learning new systems
- Must be able to stand and walk the majority of the work shift hours to serve customers at the Teller line and drive-up.
- Must be able to grasp and lift up to 40 pounds infrequently.
- Bending, stooping about 5-10% of the workday depending on the day’s job duties (such as vault counts).
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of bank products, services, and various federal regulations is a plus!
Responsibilities
- Assisting customers with deposits, withdrawals, and other routine transactions
- Verifying checks, endorsements, and proper identification
- Balancing your cash drawer daily and assisting with branch balancing tasks
- Answering customer inquiries in person and by phone, while maintaining confidentiality
- Referring customers to other SFB team members for specialized services
- Supporting branch operations and ensuring compliance with regulations
