About The Position

Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly services to customers and suggests appropriate Bank services and products based on customer needs. Adheres to the Bank's customer pledge, service standards, and code of conduct. Requires a thorough understanding of established procedures, methods, and practices, and adherence to all policies and procedures. GENERAL DUTIES: Greets and directs customers in person and over the phone. Explains available services and products, assisting customers in selecting those that best meet their needs. Maintains the confidentiality of customer accounts. Regularly checks internal bank email and other communications, responding in a timely manner. Maintains a clean and organized work area with necessary supplies. TELLER DUTIES: Accepts and processes transactions for deposit and loan accounts. Processes money orders, cashier's checks, and other bank services. Completes change orders. Redeems U.S. Savings Bonds. Processes credit card cash advances. Ensures accuracy of work by reviewing for errors or encoding prior to scanning. Performs service requirements for the ATM. Processes night deposit, drop-off, and mail-in deposits. Responds to customer inquiries via phone or in person. Balances and maintains appropriate cash levels in drawers, ensuring cash security and maintaining high levels of safety and security for the bank. Provides cleaning and regular maintenance for teller equipment such as coin counters and scanners.

Requirements

  • Must be able to perform all over-the-counter customer services.
  • Must exercise accuracy, alertness, good judgment, courtesy, tact, patience and professionalism.
  • Must, at all times, maintain confidentiality of the Bank’s records and customer transactions, as well as a high degree of personal integrity.

Responsibilities
