About The Position
Headquartered in Lewiston, Maine, Dirigo Federal Credit Union is a profitable and fast-growing community credit union with five branch locations. At Dirigo, we’re more than a financial institution – we’re a member-owned cooperative built on relationships, trust, and service. We’re excited to welcome team members who share our passion for helping people achieve financial well-being. We’re seeking an enthusiastic and service-minded individual to join us as a Teller. This is more than a transaction-based role. You’ll be one of the first friendly faces our members meet at our new branch, playing an important part in building connections and bringing our values to life in this community. This role is 40 hours/week and is based in our Lewiston branch.
Requirements
- Prior cash-handling, customer service, or retail experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to help others
- Team-oriented mindset with the flexibility to adapt
- Ability to reliably be at work on time and as scheduled
Responsibilities
- Greet members with warmth and professionalism, creating a welcoming branch environment
- Process a variety of financial transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and transfers
- Educate members on credit union products and services, helping them make informed financial decisions
- Support branch initiatives and community outreach
- Ensure compliance with credit union policies, security procedures, and regulatory requirements
