About The Position

The Teller position is a client-facing role that requires exceptional customer service, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills. The Teller will perform various cash handling transactions, process payments, accept deposits, and process withdrawals while maintaining a high level of confidentiality. The associate will respond to customer requests and inquiries, make recommendations about bank products and services, maintain and balance cash supply, and keep accurate bank records.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 6 months of cash handling or previous teller experience preferred. (May consider a combination of education and experience).
  • Banking experience preferred.
  • Must have ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations exercising flexibility, critical thinking skills and sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be detailed oriented and well organized.
  • Competency in basic math and understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Exceptional listening and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Must be professional and courteous.
  • A patient and empathetic attitude.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Phone skills, including familiarity with complex or multi-line phone systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of a company's products and/or services.

Responsibilities

  • Process transactions, such as deposits, withdrawals, or payments.
  • Resolve complaints or account discrepancies, and answer customer inquiries.
  • Provide top-notch customer service and problem resolution in compliance with M C Bank policies and procedures.
  • Explain product benefits, changes, restrictions, requirements, and any other relevant product information to customers.
  • Cross-sell Bank's products and services to generate new business and build existing relationships.
  • Track, record, report, and store information related to transactions, bank supplies, and customers, ensuring all information is accurate and complete.
  • Maintain and balance cash drawers and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Package cash and roll coin to be stored in drawer or bank vault.
  • Keep a clean, organized work area and a professional appearance.
  • Manage currency, transactions, and confidential information in a responsible manner.
  • Use software to track bank information and generate reports.
  • Follow all bank financial and security regulations and procedures.
  • Demonstrate strong adherence to Company policies and procedures, as well as company values.
