JOB SUMMARY: A teller’s primary job is to provide excellent service to our customers & process all banking transactions with efficiency and accuracy, while following all bank policies and procedures. A teller will have extensive contact with customers and the public, and is expected to conduct all interactions in a professional manner that will enhance the overall reputation and image of the bank. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Serve as the first point of contact with customers, greet customer in a friendly and professional manner. Process deposits, withdrawals and transfer requests for checking and savings accounts; Cash checks for customers and non-customers; Process loan payments; Process change orders and currency exchanges Prepare and verify cashier’s checks Run internal General Ledger transactions as needed Redeem savings bonds; Process night and mail deposits each day; Balance cash drawers & vault daily with accuracy and minimal errors; Provide customers with information on additional bank products and services; Complete Compliance and Security training as needed; Assist customers with general banking questions and account specific questions; assist with customer service requests as needed Perform administrative duties such as answering internal and external phone calls, managing emails, & keeping a clean and organized workspace, teller drawer and teller line; Prepare and Receive Shipments as needed; Identify transaction mistakes when debits and credits do not balance; Follow all bank policies and procedures ; Promote an inviting atmosphere for our customers and employees by having a good attitude, professional appearance and being a team player;
