About The Position

Tri Counties Bank is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Tellers or Personal Bankers. These roles are crucial for maintaining customer trust and satisfaction by expertly executing account transactions, making referrals to banking partners, and proactively initiating contact with account holders. As a Personal Banker, you will provide confidence-inspiring service, create and expand banker-client relationships, and assist customers with various transactions, demonstrating interest in their financial well-being and introducing them to suitable Tri Counties Bank services. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Effective selling and cross-selling skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to utilize personal computers and Windows based programs.
  • Able to successfully complete Bank’s product and sales training courses.
  • Previous sales and cash handling experience, preferred.
  • Able to be registered as a mortgage loan originator (MLO) in the Nationwide Mortgage License System and Registry (NMLS).

Responsibilities

  • Safeguard a cash fund of up to $25,000, maintaining an accurate record of deposits and disbursements.
  • Execute an average of 25-50 account transactions per day for customers visiting the branch.
  • Regularly operate nine desktop computer applications for various banking functions.
  • Handle customer service transactions, such as receiving and disbursing funds, posting deposits and withdrawing funds.
  • Provide information and assistance in researching customer problems, balance a cash drawer daily and answer customer inquiries.
  • Probe for customer financial needs and recommend bank products and services.
  • Refer retail loan and deposit products.
  • Meet referral goals as assigned.
  • Provide prompt, efficient and friendly service to Bank customers ensuring that all customer transactions are handled timely and accurately according to guidelines.
  • Ensure that cash and security procedures are followed accounting for assigned cash.
  • Balance cash drawer and maintain drawer within limits.
  • Complete necessary documentation and data entry.
  • Process all deposit and loan transactions.
  • Make outbound calls to new and existing customers to maintain contact and satisfy servicing needs.
  • Maintain a current understanding of Bank policies and procedures in compliance with all federal and state laws.
  • Begin with a personal welcome to everyone who calls or comes into a branch.
  • Show the customer they are valued.
  • Use every customer interaction as an opportunity to have quality conversations and individually understand the financial needs and goals of our customers.
  • Share knowledge about Tri Counties Bank services, products, and partners to help customers save money, make more money or make their banking more convenient.
  • Employ appropriate solutions for customers and follow through to ensure their financial needs and goals are fulfilled.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and regularly review sales results with Branch Manager and prepare an action plan to meet/exceed sales objectives.
  • Ensure that all customer transactions are handled accurately and timely according to guidelines.
  • Assist in training branch team members on product knowledge and skill development when necessary.
  • Assist other team members in non-primary assigned duties whenever necessary and perform other work-related duties as assigned.
