The Teller I works in a TD Store location and plays a key role in delivering legendary customer experiences while processing everyday banking transactions with accuracy and efficiency. This role also involves educating customers on TD's products and services or referring them to a partner for specialized solutions. The Teller I is responsible for consistently executing appropriate behaviors to deliver a Legendary Customer experience in the Store, engaging in lobby leadership by orchestrating customer flow, warmly welcoming customers, and guiding them appropriately. They understand customer preferences and educate them on self-service/digital options. The position requires acting as an advocate for the customer by conducting needs-based conversations, offering financial & digital solutions, and/or referring customers to appropriate partners. The Teller I must make sound decisions, provide timely problem resolution, and escalate more difficult issues to management. Compliance with operational activities, including Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act regulations, is essential to minimize risk and protect customers. Responsibilities also include verifying customer identities, balancing cash drawers, ATMs, and Teller Cash Dispensers/Recyclers, adhering to safe deposit box procedures, maintaining appropriate cash limits, securing cash, and ensuring confidential customer information is securely stored. The role requires understanding and following dual control, security, and audit measures to minimize potential loss, and utilizing bank tools to detect, address, and prevent fraud. All required in-classroom and online training must be completed by established due dates.
