About The Position

The bilingual teller creates a remarkable experience consistent with our brand personality, core values, service promises, mission, and vision with all internal and external relationships. Perform a wide range of transactions to serve members by receiving or paying out funds with high accuracy. Maintain accurate transactional records. Provide a variety of member savings, share draft/checking, and credit account transactions. Make referrals to the appropriate credit union department or team member with the intention of increasing member loyalty.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Strong knowledge of language and cultural differences amongst Spanish-speaking countries
• 1 year in a customer service capacity which included cash handling experience, preferably in a credit union, bank, or other financial institution
• Knowledge of credit union products, services, and policies
• Ability to operate a personal computer and associated windows-based software
• Ability to operate standard office equipment such as fax, copy and 10-key adding machines
• Ability to provide service to all members in the lobby in a timely manner
• Ability to perform minor math calculations
• Ability to organize time and duties effectively
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with members and the public
• Ability to work independently and quickly
• Ability to pay attention to details, be proficient and accurate
• Ability to be flexible and handle more than one task at a time
• Ability to handle cash accurately
• Ability to cross sell in order to achieve established goals
