About The Position

Watertown Savings Bank is seeking a Teller 1 for their Main Office. The primary objective of this role is to represent Watertown Savings Bank in a courteous and professional manner, providing prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service. This includes handling cash transactions, recognizing customer needs, and suggesting appropriate bank services based on sound judgment and knowledge of banking products. The Teller 1 must adhere to established policies and procedures and follow the direction of their supervisor.

Requirements

Represent Watertown Savings Bank in a courteous and professional manner.
Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer services.
Recognize customers’ needs with suggestions appropriate to the Bank’s services.
Utilize sound judgment and knowledge of all banking products.
Follow established policies and procedures.
Adhere to supervisor’s direction.
Sedentary to medium physical demands.
May exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs of force frequently or up to 10 lbs of force constantly to move objects.
Daily movement includes, but is not limited to holding, grasping, turning or otherwise working with hand or hands.

Responsibilities

Accepts checks for cashing and receives checking and related account deposits, verifying cash and endorsements, making change, and issuing receipts.
Receives savings deposits and pays withdrawals after verifying balance and signature; redeems U. S. Savings Bonds.
Receives loan payments when accompanied by a payment due notice or installment loan coupon.
Performs various balancing functions, including ATM balancing.
Processes night deposits and mail-in deposits.
Sells money orders, cashiers checks, and other bank services.
Responds to customer inquiries as appropriate.
Maintains proper cash levels in drawers, keeps cash secure, and ensures a high level of safety for the Bank.
Services the ATM according to schedule or need.
Completes address changes, check orders, and research requests.
