About The Position
Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Telepsychiatrist (MD or DO) to provide services to various State Correctional Facilities throughout Illinois. As a leading provider of healthcare services to correctional facilities, we have partnered with the Illinois Department of Corrections to offer mental healthcare. Our psychiatric team works with a diverse patient population, allowing time for initiating change, tracking progress, and conducting thorough follow-up. The Psychiatrist will perform psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatments, work under the supervision of the Psychiatric Medical Director, and provide clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team for patients with psychiatric disorders or other mental health issues.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Illinois medical license (MD or DO)
- Active, unrestricted DEA
- Current Board Certification in a Psychiatry specialty is required
- Ability to pass credentialing, drug screening and background check
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week during Monday - Friday daytime hours
Responsibilities
- Provides psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis and treatment for patients.
- Works under the supervision of the Psychiatric Medical Director.
- Provides clinical leadership for a multidisciplinary team in providing mental health services to patients with psychiatric disorders or other mental health issues.
