About The Position

Under supervision, the Monitor Technician (MT) is responsible for cardiac and oximetry monitor surveillance for monitored and telemetry patients. Responsible for reporting rhythm changes and potentially lethal rhythms to a Registered Nurse following outlined workflow. Interacts directly with physicians regarding the interpretation of cardiac rhythm patterns or changes in patterns. Requirements

Coursework/Training and Verification of completion of basic EKG cardiac rhythm recognition course required within six (6) months of hire.
6 months of experience working in a healthcare or institutional setting.

Nice To Haves

Coursework/Training and Medical terminology course.
Coursework/Training and Verification of advanced cardiac rhythm recognition course.
6 months of experience monitoring ECGs in an area that has the capability to monitor at least 16 patients.
