About The Position

We are hiring for Senior Sterile Processing Technician position at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK! This is a Full Time, 1.0 FTE, Day Shift, 40 hours per week position. The role is responsible for providing assistance and support for clinical staff in the Operating Room, serving as the central point of contact for OR Clinical Staff, SPD, and General Stores. The technician will assist with the location and transport of case carts, troubleshoot instrument problems, recommend alternatives when desired instrumentation is unavailable, and facilitate the instrument fast turn-over process. Additionally, the role involves decontaminating and sterilizing instruments in the Operating Room following recommended guidelines and providing accurate documentation for this process. Requirements

  • 2 years Experience as Sterile Processing Technician or OR Scrub Technician.
  • Upon hire: National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association
  • Upon hire: National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
  • Upon hire: National Certified Instrument Specialist - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association

Responsibilities
