More about our team Join our team on a 27-bed Medical-Surgical unit where compassionate, patient-centered care is at the heart of everything we do. As part of a collaborative team of Registered Nurses (RNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), you will care for a diverse patient population while building strong clinical skills in a supportive environment. With a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio and 1:12 CNA-to-patient ratio, you will play a vital role in comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, treatment administration, and promoting patient comfort and safety. Our unit fosters teamwork, open communication, and professional growth, empowering you to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes every day.

Requirements

  • Current listing EMT, EMT-P, CNA, SRNA, or CMA
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • EMT, EMT-P, CNA, SRNA, or CMA. Preferred or completion of first semester clinical rotation in an accredited Nursing Degree Program (ADN or BSN).
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of Cardiac Telemetry Certification within 1 year of hire
  • Evidence of successful completion of Telemetry/Dysrhythmia course
  • Completion of a basic telemetry monitoring course and/or completion of competency training for basic arrhythmia interpretation may be required as determined by the department director.

Responsibilities

  • Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors.
  • Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately. Identifies and corrects for artifacts.
  • Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
  • Tests equipment for proper working order. Reports equipment problems to supervisor.
