About The Position

Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital seeks a Telemetry Technician for its Telemetry department. The role facilitates care for patients requiring continuous cardiac (telemetry) and/or pulse oximetry monitoring through continual observation of the cardiac telemetry central monitoring system and equipment. The technician also provides clerical support and communicates effectively.

Requirements

• Complete a dysrhythmia course through prior Telemetry Technician employment, or complete a dysrhythmia course with a score of 80% or higher within six months of hire.
• Hold American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Be able to use an electronic medical record.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of patient care experience (such as PCT, nursing assistant, or EMT), or successful completion of a college nursing assistant/home health aide course.
