About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Telemetry Systems Analyst for the Space Force Range Contract (SFRC). This role involves configuring, operating, and maintaining complex telemetry equipment for Eastern Range launch operations. The analyst will develop and maintain scripts for automation, perform real-time operations and post-operation analysis, and troubleshoot system problems. They will also monitor system performance, provide technical support for engineering projects, and assist with Cyber Security assessments. Qualification and proficiency on assigned training packages are essential, as is assisting with the training of others.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math), or an equivalent combination of education and experience
3+ years of experience working in a complex software/network based systems environment
Knowledge of software development and data transport protocols
Proficient in the use of MS Office tool suite
Experience working with Windows OS, Windows Server, Linux- REDHAT, Linux SENT-OS, and C# based computer systems and components
Excellent communication skills with clients, support personnel, and management
Excellent oral and technical writing capabilities to document system and operational observations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Quality driven and customer service oriented
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to interface with all levels of personnel in a diverse, team-orientated environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with unscheduled changing priorities and still meet assigned deadlines
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with employees and the public
Some local travel may be required to meet critical operational schedules
Current DoD 8140 Certification (or CISSP, or CASP), or ability to obtain certification within six months of employment
The flexibility to work frequent non-duty hours or on weekends/holidays to support specific project or mission requirements
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship
Valid U.S. Driver’s License

Nice To Haves

Telemetry systems experience
Knowledge of IT assets employed on the Eastern Range, as well as the AF and DoD requirements for logical access
Two or more years of experience on the Eastern Range

Responsibilities

Configure complex suite of legacy and modernized telemetry equipment (data processing, display, recording, distribution) used for Eastern Range launch operations
Develop and maintain scripts for automating operational routines performed by COTS and custom software
Operate telemetry equipment during real-time launch operations, and post operation data processing and analysis
Develop, quality control and maintain checklists and procedures necessary to ensure nominal and consistent system performance during operations
Perform systematic troubleshooting of system problems, corrective action, and operational re-verification
Analyze, log, track and resolve complex anomalies (i.e., software, hardware, network) pertaining to system performance; recommend and implement approved courses of action and review recommendations of junior analysts
Continually monitor system performance and reliability, and recommend solutions for overcoming system deficiencies
Obtain qualification and maintain proficiency on assigned training packages
Provide technical support to engineering projects that modify the Space Force Range Contract (SFRC) operational baseline
Assist Cyber Security personnel with Information Assurance Assessments as required
Complete assigned training and assist with the training of others to ensure optimal availability of qualified personnel for daily operations, maintenance, and launch support
