Telemetry Registered Nurse
About The Position
The Registered Nurse delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. In the Telemetry Unit, the nurse provides direct patient care within the scope of practice, guides patient and family teaching, and directs the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care. The nurse is directly responsible and accountable for care provided to assigned patients. The role includes communicating changes in a patient's clinical condition to the physician, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms, and responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter.
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter.
Nice To Haves
- Previous acute care hospital experience.
- Ventilator management experience.
- Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities
