About The Position

The Telemetry Monitoring Tech documents and interprets patient cardiac rhythms at regular intervals to identify dysrhythmias. This involves obtaining and interpreting baseline rhythm strips for each monitored patient, and accurately measuring and documenting PR and QRS intervals electronically for new and existing patients. The role also requires communicating all arrhythmias to the registered nurse and activating the emergency notification system for any life-threatening rhythms. Additionally, the position contributes to a safe, clean, and orderly environment, supporting efficient departmental operations to control costs and ensure productivity. The technician is responsible for communicating equipment malfunctions to the clinical engineering department, nurse manager, or designee. A strong attention to detail is essential for this role.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills in interacting with patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Basic reading, writing, and math abilities are required.
  • Strong attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Previous nursing assistant, monitor technician, emergency medical technician, or patient care technician experience.

Responsibilities
