About The Position

The Telemetry Monitor Technician - Heart Care Unit - .9 FTE- Day Shift position involves observing patients on cardiac systems, communicating data to appropriate personnel, and maintaining the integrity of the system. This role is part of the Heart Care Unit, a 31-bed intermediate care unit that cares for patients with conditions such as heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, post-cardiac procedures, stroke, and other medical conditions. The unit emphasizes teamwork, strong relationships between nurses and CNAs, and opportunities for skill growth.

Requirements

• High School Diploma – or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Observe patients on the cardiac systems.
• Communicate data to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain integrity of the system.
• Perform the duties of a MT in accordance with WMH policies and procedures, and any department specific policies and procedures.
• Communicate accurate and efficient patient information in a timely manner, keeping patient safety the first priority.
• Gather and complete all documentation accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with other team members (RN, CNA, UCC, MT, and unit leadership) to ensure patient needs are being met.
