About The Position

EquipmentShare is hiring a Telematics Installer at its rental facility in Richmond, Virginia. The role installs and repairs telematics systems and devices on vehicles, construction equipment, heavy equipment, and customer assets. Installers may operate machinery to test installations, travel to client sites and EquipmentShare rental yards in the region, and represent the EquipmentShare platform and brand in the field. The position pays $20–$30 per hour; experience and location may affect the final rate. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with overtime pay after 40 hours. The role may include on-call scheduling, occasional work outside business hours and on weekends, and travel within a 250-mile radius for up to a week at a time. Installations range from basic power, ignition, and ground connections to complex work involving custom wiring harnesses and access to vehicle and equipment CAN networks. The installer may remove and replace ignition systems without a custom keypad and controller, then integrate communication between keypad and telematics systems.
