Telehealth Physician (MD/DO), Medicare Primary Care

Mira Mace
•$120 - $120•Remote

About The Position

Mira Mace pairs Medicare beneficiaries with a dedicated healthcare advocate who navigates appointments, insurance, and care coordination on their behalf. Our customers get the support of caring nurses while AI agents handle the tedious backend work, all covered by Medicare. We've felt the pain ourselves: the endless back-and-forth with insurance, surprise bills, and the lack of clarity when you just need answers. Too many people fall through the cracks, and we're determined to change that. Today, 24/7 personalized health assistance is only available to the rich or the extremely sick. Our vision is for everyone to be able to afford a health assistant who knows their health history deeply, navigates the healthcare system on their behalf, and helps them become the healthiest version of themselves. Our founding team brings technical experience from Microsoft, Google, Meta and Amazon, and startup experience from bootstrapped ventures to Series D scale-ups. We're backed by Foundation Capital, Define Ventures and Silicon Valley angel investors.

Requirements

  • MD or DO, board-certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Geriatric Medicine.
  • Active, unrestricted medical license(s) in the US. The more states the better: our patients are in more than 30 states, and you see patients in every state you're licensed in.
  • A clean record: no disciplinary or reprimand actions against your license, not opted out of Medicare, no exclusions.
  • 3+ years post-residency.
  • Patience and empathy. Our patients are older and often vulnerable. Listening, gentleness and a calm presence are the foundation of every visit.
  • A reliable remote setup. Strong internet, a quiet, professional space, and a computer with a camera.

Nice To Haves

  • Licensure in North Carolina, South Carolina, New York, Illinois or Ohio is strongly preferred.
  • Licensure in Texas, Florida, California or Georgia, our largest patient populations, is also preferred.
  • IMLC eligibility is a plus.
  • Already enrolled in Medicare (PECOS) is a plus; if not, we enroll you.
  • Telehealth experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct 30-minute new-patient telehealth visits with Medicare patients, mostly by video (phone when the patient can't connect), working from the up-to-date medical records provided: history, medication review, assessment, care plan, orders and referrals, including durable medical equipment when indicated.
  • Each month, review the care plans and logged hours of your patients' care advocates, and provide the clinical oversight that keeps each patient's health and social situation moving in the right direction.
  • Documentation in our EHR (Healthie) with templates built for this visit.

Benefits

  • Malpractice coverage provided for Mira Mace visits.
  • We handle credentialing and payer enrollment (about 5 weeks).
