About The Position

Executive Mental Health (EMH) has been providing remote assessment and treatment of cognitive, behavioral, and emotional conditions to patients since 2020 through its Telehealth service. This service utilizes a HIPAA-compliant videoconferencing platform, enabling patients, family members, and skilled nursing facility management to receive care without leaving their homes or care facilities. The Telehealth Medical Assistant plays a crucial role as a 'Telehealth Concierge,' ensuring patients receive quality care from clinicians while adhering to social distancing and safety protocols. This role involves coordinating patient visits, transporting and setting up Telehealth equipment, and serving as a warm interface before therapy sessions. The Telehealth Medical Assistant collaborates closely with EMH clinicians, liaisons, and facility staff to build rapport, identify potential patients, and facilitate referrals.

Requirements

  • Must be experienced in infection control and PPE.
  • Must have an active cellular service for communication with staff.
  • Background check required.
  • Weekly/Monthly COVID-19 testing required.
  • Must be able to drive to facilities.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Safety training in preparation for working with COVID-19 positive patients face-to-face will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Visit assigned skilled nursing facilities for daily work assignments.
  • Transport Telehealth equipment between patients for Telehealth Services at partner skilled nursing facilities.
  • Assist Clinical Staff Team Members by discussing Telehealth services with new patients.
  • Coordinate care with both Clinical Staff and Facility Staff.
  • Provide and gather patient’s medical documentation as instructed by clinical staff member.
  • Manage daily preparation checklist for equipment care, including sanitization, recharging, and safe storage.
  • Work closely with and provide follow-up with facility staff members as needed.
  • Develop a working knowledge of the Telehealth web application (Doxy).
  • File clinical documentation as directed by facility staff.
  • Provide technology troubleshooting for general knowledge of WIFI and internet connectivity, with live support available as needed.
  • Lift a minimum of 35 lbs.
  • Adhere to all standards within the HIPAA Compliance Privacy Regulations.
