About The Position

Intermediate Telecommunications Technician II is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment and systems. This role requires working independently on projects involving telecommunications devices and systems including fiber optics, wireless communication systems, 2-way radio, and other advanced network infrastructure. The technician will perform diagnostic tests, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal performance of telecommunications related devices and circuits.

Requirements

• 3+ years of electronics background / experience is required.
• Related military experience is a plus.
• High School/GED, relevant military experience
• Associate’s degree preferred
• Information Technology, Electricity/Electronics or related field.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain telecommunications equipment such as routers, switches, and fiber optic cables.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to telecommunications systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Conduct tests to verify system functionality and document findings and maintenance activities.
• Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and stakeholders to support telecommunications projects and initiatives.
• Ensure all work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
